About this Session

In the ACE Gen Z/Alpha session, we explore the evolving dynamics of student engagement, particularly in light of a concerning 34% decline in empathy among students since 2018. Participants will explore data-driven insights into the behaviors, values, and communication preferences of Gen Z and Alpha students, equipping educators with the necessary tools to connect and engage effectively with these younger generations.

This workshop focuses on addressing this empathy deficit by fostering emotional intelligence and resilience in our teaching methods. We will delve into the causes of decreased empathy and provide practical strategies for cultivating a more empathetic classroom environment. Through the implementation of empathy-enhancing techniques and the development of supportive educational practices, educators will learn to nurture a deeper sense of understanding and connection among students.

This approach is designed to create learning environments that not only bridge generational divides but also foster a sense of community and mutual respect, leading to improved educational outcomes and more meaningful interactions in the classroom.
